Labour Market Updates

Keep your finger on the latest labour market pulse.

Highlights:

  • Total employment in BC increased over the last month by 9,100 from January.
  • The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 6.9%.
  • The unemployment rate for youth increased from 13.5% to 14.3%.
  • The North Coast & Nechako region had the highest regional unemployment rate in BC at 12.2%; the Northeast region had the lowest rate (3.7%).
